Massive Monkees and 206 Zulu present Massive Monkees Day 2010 - The 11th Anniversary

Come help us celebrate Seattle's own Massive Monkees Day (also our 11th anniversary) on May 29th at the Cirque Event Center (the old DV8).

Featuring top dancers from all over the world - This year's event is definitely going to be the best yet. From crew battles and our world famous footwork competition to the hottest cyphers and DJs Seattle has to offer - this is not an event you will want to miss!

To top it off - Massive Monkees will be donating 10% of proceeds to Northwest Harvest - so you can enjoy a world class event and give back to the community at the same time!

This year we have an entire weekend of events lined up so stay tuned!

Featuring a b-boy/b-girl (break dance) workshop, food, conversation, live music, open cyphers, a chance to meet Massive Monkees (fresh off of MTV's "America's Best Dance Crew"!) as well as performances by:

It's Been A Long Time!

We apologize for the lack of updates! It has literally been non-stop CRAZY BUSY in the Massive Monkees Universe since our last posting!

Quick recap of the past two weeks:

• Tim a.k.a. "Pitbull" and girlfriend, Cember, welcomed a lovely baby girl (Lina Ann) into the world on September 20th! She is so CUTE!!!!
  

• Monday evening at the airport, we surprised the boys getting back from ABDC and kidnapped half of them for a late-night potluck at Granite's new condo
• The following day, we rocked the 2009 Northwest Events Trade Show at The Convention Center. We were tired from the night before, but not too tired to sample a bunch of the goodies that were being offered... We'll post pictures and maybe a video, soon!
• Flow Funk turned 29 - Happy Birthday, Flow! His birthday festivities started Wednesday and continue throughout this weekend. Libras know how to party!
• Last but not least, Massive Monkees has been brimming to the top with a bunch of top-secret projects... Some of which include classes and performances this fall! Stay tuned for more info!

Massive Monkees are officially 'cool' in my book.  I just recieved my order from your online store and not only did it come in at an appropriate time, but the packaging that it came in was DOPE.  I thought that it was so cool, that I took pictures and posted them online before I even opened it.  And if that wasn't enough, you guys ALSO threw in a complimentary MM tote bag, a sticker, and two fresh-ass flyers.

I've ordered merchandise from other ABDC crews before, but this is BY FAR the best treatment I've recieved as a fan.  This shows me that you really care about your fans who support you and I greatly appreciate it.  I support the Massive Monkees and will continue to do so - even after you win America's Best Dance Crew.

Massive Monkees on WOWOWEE Today!

Yes, you heard it right!

Wowowee, the cult-hit Filipino variety show is on tour and will be making a stop at the Tacoma Dome today! (2727 E. D St., Tacoma, WA 98421)

Massive Monkees will be one of the opening acts for the show to promote for "America's Best Dance Crew".

For the show, they will be rocking red, white, blue and yellow. Certain Monkees will be wearing the Filipino colorway of the Massive Monkees "2 Heads Are Better Than 1" tee, as seen here:

Current sizes in the store are limited, but we promise we'll be re-stocking this week! Buy one for your grandma - she'll most definitely be proud to rock it. =)

A BUSY Night For Massive Monkees

Tonight, the LA Massive Monkees team will be filming Episode 6 of "America's Best Dance Crew". There are only four crews left on the show, so the pressure is on for our boys to keep up their momentum! For this episode, there will also be a "Smooth Criminal" tribute to Michael Jackson performed by all of the four remaining crews. Hm, does that lean look familiar, MM fans? Who did it first?! Back in Seattle, the home team will be opening up for Slick Rick at Sneaker Pimps! Massive Monkees will giving away various MM goodies, promoting for ABDC as well as doing a little dance number for all the sneaker-fans in attendance. We are busy! Viva la Massive Monkees!

Lil' Lazy Gets MARRIED!

Congratulations to Massive Monkees member, Samnith "Lil' Lazy" Ly and his new bride, Lianna Kalyanei Ly, for tying the knot at the "America's Best Dance Crew"-hosted hotel last night, 9/9/09 at 9:09PM (Yes - they planned the timing.) They were married in the company of fellow ABDC Massive Monkees, as well as members of the other remaining dance crews on the MTV show. Lil' Lazy promises there will be a big Khmer wedding party when he gets back home to Seattle!
